videostudio pro X3

Post by dgkourou »

hello,
I am using a video camera panasonic HDC TM 300
If I only try to transform from m2ts to HD mpg without editing , there is no problem. But if I a m trying to edit even a small sequence (roughly 3 mn of time), made of 25 clips, it is pratically impossible to made a HD movie.
The image is shaking, or I have a critical error. Even doing a simple pal mpeg (no HD) is sometimes impossible
I have de-installed the software and re-installed it, abnd the same problem occurs.
processor AMD 64x2 5200+ 2.61 GHz
4GB RAM
70 GB of free space on HD (on a total amount of 150 GB)
motherboard MSI k9n6pgm2
videoboard nvidia 8400 gs

thank you if you have an idea

Firstly please click here --> to alter the title of your post <--

When you say the video is shaky then there are a couple of possible reasons:
1. You might be looking at the preview screen where it is playing back your edited video "on the fly".
The preview screen is as its names implies a preview and literally creates a video in real time as you play it.
This preview is rough, jerky and only serves to show you that you have made your cuts, transitions, titles etc in the right places. When you actually render the video from the [Share] tab - [Create Video] it takes a long time to actually create that video. Normally longer than the duration of that video itself. Dependant upon how powerful your computer is a standard definition video lasting 1 hour might take 1.5 hours to render. High Definition even longer.
2. Incorrect field order. This is another common mistake that causes a video to be jerky. The Field Order is determined by the recoring source (camcorder, tv card etc.) and not determined by the target output (TV Set, Internet etc.)

It would be extremely useful to know what properties you are using to burn the "HD mpg". I am assuming you are converting your HD AVCHD .m2ts (mpeg-4) files to HDV mpeg-2, but it would be useful to know exactly what properties you used (and why you are doing such a conversion...)
