You have AVCHD high quality video files.

The question is, what do you intend to do with them?

Are you intending to make a…………

Blueray disc
a standard DVD
or Up-Load to the internet.(WMV files should be fine)

If a standard DVD then you may be best to convert the original files to DVD mpeg 2 prior to editing.
Especially as you seem to be having problems editing mts files.
