VS 8 8.01 Patch

I know this has been talked about a lot here and at the old site, but I have searched both and have not found the solution to the problem yet. I downloaded VS 8, paid for it and installed it today. Downloaded the correct patch for VS 8 and get the same message that the patch can not find VS 8 installed on my computer. I did not upgrade, this is the first version of VideoStudio I have ever installed or owned. Any sugestions or do I have to wait till Jan 5th to call support?

Have you actually run VS8, without the patch, yet? Maybe there is a registry entry that is not created until you run it. Just a thought.

I have the exact same issue and have run the software.

I have also run the software so they havent fixed the patch bug yet.

I just installed Video Studio and tried to patch it with the same results described above.

I had to call Ulead to get this fixed, they sent me to an ftp server to download the fixed version

...and I'm guessing that was far enough in the past that you don't happen to have the link anymore, right?
