Hi,
I have nearly finished a project and have just noticed strobing effects mainly on straight lines and especially in darker scenes. This does not happen in the preview window but only when drop clips onto the timeline and before any editing, filters etc have been applied. Would it be anything to do with the anti flicker filter, I have tried it on and off. What changes between the preview window and the timeline?
I would be very grateful for any help.
Nick

Re: VideoStudio Pro x2 strobe effects
What are the properties of the clips, and with what camera were they shot?

Hi Baldrick
Project playback is not always good quality and may not be a representation of the final video.
A lot depends on the type of video file and of course your pc specification.
Can you fill in your profile to include your PC spec
More information is needed. http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=8959

Re: VideoStudio Pro x2 strobe effects
Hi,
Sorry for the delay in replying.
I seem to have found the reason for my problem. When creating the video file I was selecting Properties the same as the first video clip, forgeting that I had put a non HD sequence at the front so the whole file was in standard definition. There is now no strobing effects and I am very pleased with the HD picture quality.
I have updated my profile with my PC spec and the camera was a Sony HDR-SR8E which records AVCHD m2ts files.
Thank you for your replies which gave me the clues that put me on the right track.
