Audio level slider does nothing! VSP X3

Hi,

I can't adjust the audio level in the main audio track using the Surround Sound Mixer. On starting playback an error box pops up "Video Studio got an improper argument".

As the video plays in project mode moving the slider does nothing. When playing a clip a little stop sign symbol shows if I try to move the slider. The clip volume control does not work either.

It worked once but I can't remember the exact circumstance that got it going.

I have installed VSP X3 and the associated Smart Sound Quicktracks5 then re-installed the lot. At the very end of installation the Vista pops up a box stating that the installer has crashed. This is not the case as it is finished and closes when I hit the finished button.

In Clip mode the little hand can be used to move the level at a point.
