VS11+ Installation Serial Number

Howdy,

Have tried to install my VS11+ on another box and have installed VS4, then the upgrade to VS9 and all works fine. But when I go to install VS11+ it asks for a Serial Number to complete the installation so I copied the S/N from VS9 and plopped it in the blank and it bitches at me that it not valid? What serial number is it looking for? Do I need to pull of the S/N from the VS11+ version running on my other box? Not sure what the issue is or what it's looking for.

If VS11 is an upgrade version, then the installation program will require first that you enter the SN of an earlier version, just to prove that it is indeed a genuine upgrade, PLUS the SN specific to VS11...

Once I installed VS9 I pulled the S/N from the help tab and put it into the First S/N portion when it asks for computer name etc and it bitched that it wasn't valid? Maybe the VS11+ S/N goes in first then the previous? Can't really see that though........your thoughts?

When they just ask for serial number, it should be your VS11's Serial number. If they want earlier versions' S/N, they would specifically say so.

If you have registered all your products, your Corel.com account should have all the serial numbers listed right there under your account -> "View your products".

Just to close the thread, on the installation it was first looking for the VS11+ Serial Number and then any Previous installation of a lower version, in my case it was the Serial Number from VS9. Once I got that straight it installed with no problem. JFYI, probably a good thing for anyone running the software to take a screen capture or document their current version of VS and also the previous version Serial Numbers if they went for the upgrade. These can be found when starting the software and then under help/About Ulead Video Studio.
