VSPX3 Crashes vhen opening a project file

Post by hutga »

Hello!
I finished a slide show project (4 minutes), and saved it with a new name. When I opened it again, I got an errormessage telling that the program did not function any more. I should contact Corel Tecnical Support, and send a specified Dumpfile. I can open other project files. I sent an E-mail wit the dumpfile attached. I got a reply, telling "...and the need for interaction, contacting Corel directly via telephone will provide you with a quicker and more tailored solution for the issue you are facing." Optimistic I called Support. She told me that Corel could not read dumpfiles (The type of file they asked me to send!) I could send it to Microsoft. The tailored solution for me would be to make a new project!
Is there any wizard out there, with a better solution of the problem?

Does this happen with every project that you save and re-open, or is it just this one particular project? If it is the latter it may have become corrupted and you may have to start from scratch. :(

Yes, I can open other project files. Luckily I have the same project with an other name. That one has no text or effects. The slideshow is only four minutes. That is nice when I think of the extra work. I understand I have to click on Delete....
