Anomaly...

Post by tnnpsp »

I noticed this anomaly:

when I'm typing text spread over several lines, and I move in the "leading" or "kern" or "tracking" to change values if you type the new value quickly resumes once the text box in the image thus changing not wanting the selected text!

It 'a bug?

Thanks
Tony

I'm not sure what you are saying as If you have typed some text, before you can alter the kerning or make any changes you must first apply the text. Having done that you either start with a new set of text or you would edit the text you had at which case any changes to the highlighted text should take place straight away

Explaining the problem,
for example to change the value of "kern" I select the text and click the "kern" and I enter the new value, the cursor automatically moves the selected text once again, so if I want to re-edit the value of "kern" I click again in the "kern" ...

This was not the case with the previous version ...

As far as I see it nothing changed to this Process
Text tool will bring up a Text box as in X2 If you Hold down the shift key when you click the image to set start point. That may make it easier for you.
As Far as I understand If after typing you need to adjust the kerning Then you Highlight that portion of text or as much as you wish to change. Then enter a value The changes will appear in the highlighted text portion. As it is still highlighted you can then change that value again if its not as you want

Got It I see what you mean IN X2 the Kern value box is still active, say if you enter 12 you can use back space to then enter a new value. But as you say in X3 after entering a value It is no longer active and you need to re activate it

Thanks for your kind reply,
with the new version is more powerful, for entering text by writing directly on the image ...
but sorry if I insist, if not faster when you change the value of "kern" box remains active until you turn back the selected text?
