Searching for studio.exe.

Post by ripstick »

That is what I get when I try to open Videostudio 11.5 plus.

I have uninstalled & reinstalled with no luck.

What can I do? Any help would be appreciated!

Thank you!

Welcome to the forums!

Can we assume that you have installed it on either your C: drive, or at least one of your hard drives?

I think the file name is vstudio.exe. Go into your "Program Files" then "Corel" then "Your Version" then scroll right down to within 8 or 9 off the bottom. Is "vstudio.exe" there. This is how it is for Version 12 though, might be different for 11.5. Sorry I misread and thought you had 12. Have a look anyway!
If I have got that wrong about the versions then go to Start then Search and in the files and folders box type the file name com[pltee with extension and search the "C" drive.

Hi

I have VS 10 on XP--- the vstudio.exe is here:-

C:\Program Files\Ulead Systems\Ulead VideoStudio 10

You should have a similar folder VideoStudio 11.5

You can create your own shortcut
Right click the vstudio.exe file and select Send To Desktop (create a shortcut)
Use this to open the program.

The later versions X2 and X3 are installed in a Corel folder.

Yes, you are right, it is vstudio, not studio. Thanx!

BUT, I only found vstudio.chm & vstudio.pdf. Thats it. No more vstudio's....

What do I need to do to be able to open this software?

Seems like you might have a corrupt version of 11.5. Is it on a disc, if so where did it come from?

Hi

Have you ever been able to run Video Studio 11 :?:

The folder C:\Program Files\Ulead Systems\Ulead VideoStudio 10 contains some 2600 files
Your VS 11 folder will be similar.

One of the files being vstudio.exe.

If they don’t exist then VS is not installed, or at least not properly

Please run a new install, you should get the option to ‘uninstall’ or ‘repair’
Choose ‘repair’

If the program is not installed you will get the option to ‘install’
at least thats how it works for VS10

I got the discs on ebay. New in the box. Seems legit.

I already tried repairing & uninstall/installing. No dice...

When you un-installed did you go into the registry to check for left over entries or did you just use the Remove option in Control Panel. If the latter try installing the program again then downloading a freebie prog like this: http://www.revouninstaller.com/revo_uni ... nload.html
Download it and when it has finished try installing again. Failing this have you access to another machine anywhere where you could try the install.
Finally was the box the disk came in sealed and where was the licence number?

You should have over 3,000 files and they will be located at
[installation drive]:\Program Files\Ulead Systems\Ulead VideoStudio 11

I think you need to examine the disc you bought off Ebay a little more closely. Do not rely upon the fact they were in a sealed box because anyone into piracy can get themselves a machine to seal then up. Genuine discs will be pressed not burned because they are mass produced. VS11 (you only purchase the 11 - it gets upgraded to 11.5 by way of a service pack) is a few years old, we are now on Version 13 (X3).

If you are still satisfied that the discs are genuine then you can try installing from your hard drive by creating a folder and then copy/paste the entire disc to that folder.
This procedure will also confirm that the disc itself is not faulty because if it is then the copy/paste will most likely fail.
