Hi all, so Im obviously having issues with the Trial Version of PSP x3, my computer specs will be at the bottom of the page. I will also list the troubleshooting I have tried.
I need a new good Photo Editing Software program because I am reopening my online store and sell jewelry, so my pics need to be high quality. I had a really old version of PSP back in the 90's and it was very easy to use. I downloaded quite a few Trials but I prefer PSP and have uninstalled any other trials, yes I do full uninstalls, Cleaning out leftover files, cleaning my registry as well as wiping all blank space on my Hard Drives.
I have about 5000 photo's to edit & watermark and it is getting very annoying to have the program crash with error Runtime Error R6025 Pure Virtual Function Call, now originally that error was mentioning Microsoft's C++ but I uninstalled & reinstalled and that error ceased to exist. Now I am getting this error about every 20-35minutes, sometimes I can even go as long as an hour or two before it crashes. I've googled the issue, looked on microsoft boards as well as the Corel Boards and have tried a few fixes that were mentioned. I tried using different compatibility (didn't work); I run the program as Administrator, I use a Memory Optimizer, I did the fix mentioned on these boards to change file name and lower the process (can't remember exact name of it right now). None of these things have worked to eliminate the issue.
From all the reading I have done on the issue it seems to be a "Registry Issue" and if that is the case has anyone come up with a way to change it. I have no problem going into my registry to change something if I need to. I've only done my own Registry Fixes as a last resort and have had no other option such as this issue. So if someone has come up with a Registry Fix could you please post it here for me to try.
Has anyone called Corel Tech Help about this?; and if so what kind of response did you get?
Is their Tech Help & CS good?
I am really hesitant to spend money on Software unless I know for sure that their Dev's are working on the problems x3 is having. If I see good responses as to their CS & Support I will just buy it and hope for the best. Reading these boards I see there are a number of issues but right now but Im only having an issue with the R6025.
Is their a way to Watermark a group of Pictures at one time, I use Visual Watermarking right now? Is their a way to apply "Effects" to more than 1 picture at a time. I only looked a little bit at the Batch Processing and didnt see that option for the 2 things I mentioned, but Im thinking there may be a different way to accomplish this. I haven't had time to read all the in's and out's of PSP x3 as Im trying to get my website designed and published by the end of this week.
I really appreciate any help and thank you,
Chris

Re: Help Troubleshooting Error R6025 & other Questions
Here is a copy of what the error says in my Adminstrative Error Logs:
Faulting application name: Corel Paint Shop Pro Photo.exe, version: 13.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x4b97b66d
Faulting module name: ntdll.dll, version: 6.1.7600.16385, time stamp: 0x4a5bdb3b
Exception code: 0xc0000374
Fault offset: 0x000cdcbb
Faulting process id: 0x1a98
Faulting application start time: 0x01cad9aa740d82f5
Faulting application path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Corel\Corel PaintShop Photo Pro\X3\PSPClassic\Corel Paint Shop Pro Photo.exe
Faulting module path: C:\Windows\SysWOW64\ntdll.dll
Now im not really sure how I interpret this; does it mean that the Faulting Module Path is somehow cause the problem?

Re: Help Troubleshooting Error R6025 & other Questions
I cant help with your Error As you have not told Us what you are doing other then using X3. The way to add a Water mark to a Folder or collection of Image Is with Batch Process And a script. Simply Open an image press the script record but add the watermark and stop the script and save It You can the run that script on a Folder of images and It will add The water mark to each.
There is a little more to it then that as You may also which to resize image to a web friendly size also again you can use a script and even record it into the watermark script . Then there is the making of a water mark. If its simply a line of text it best to save that first as a Vector object if your going to use it in a script. If its a graphic loge type saving it as a Tube to use in the script will be best. Saving as an image that has to be opened from windrow's for each file in the batch process calls upon windows too often.
Now you have an idea of the process You can ask more detailed questions as to what you want to do'

There you will find some scripts that you might want to try such as the Resize to limits and watermark

Re: Help Troubleshooting Error R6025 & other Questions
I made my watermark already and have been putting it on each photo individually, all my photos are already optimized for web as many of them are pics from my old web store. But now Im putting a new watermark on them as well as applying a few other things.
This error happens randomly; usually when applying my watermark, using the effects by buttonizing my picture. Im actually reading an article right now about the SysWoW64 folder, I think that may be causing the problem. I submitted an update with the error text on it but since im new to the forums it has to get approved.
I really appreciate your help Trev, thank you!! (Im not thinking as clearly since Im still up from last night trying to get all my pics edited and watermarked the past 3 days so Im running on empty right now).
