How can I include audio that is embedded within jpg images?

I have VideoStudio 8 and am trying to include jpg images taken on an HP 812 camera. The camera embeds audio into the jpg from the time the picture was taken and I would like to include this on my video soundtrack - but VideoStudio does not seem to support this.
Does anyone have any ideas?

The JPEG format has no provisions for including audio -- it is a still image format.

Is this a MJPEG (Motion JPEG) file, i.e. is it video instead of a still image? UVS does not support this format out-of-the-box, and I haven't tried locating a compatible codec yet.
