You must select the image or images (using shift+select or ctrl+select ) before the change duration function becomes available to you. Images are selected when they have the dotted line around them

Yep.. that's workin in 8.. have you tried it in 9.. it will let me do it if I select ONE.. but not if I select more than one..

Thank you!!;) Could you try it on yours? I might need to reinstall mine if it works on yours with VS 9:)

Just tried again to be sure - my copy of version 9 works just as I said in my previous post -I can change image/color duration no problem - regardless of whether I'm in timeline or storyboard mode

I presumed he meant the one in the 'Clip' menu

Thank you for your replies.. yes.. in the "CLIP" area.. it's grayed out.. I guess I will have to try to reinstall it.. that's all I know to do.. but I'm GLAD it is working on yours.. so there is hope:)

Thank you again!

Hi,

Mine is too, when the clip is in the bin - it can be changed in preferences for all the clips in the bin.

But when the clip is selected in the timeline, the duration can be changed.

Hi

(still a little confused to what is greyed out)

If I want to change the duration of several images in the timelines, provided they are adjacent to each other.

In Storyboard View

I select the images by using Shift Click

I see a red border around the selected clips.

I click ‘Clip’ from the top menu (next to ‘Tools’)

I select ‘Change image / color duration’

I change the duration in the pop up window.

This changes the duration of the selected clips only.

Does this work for you?

Well..it was just a fluke.... I did a NEW project..and it works.. darn.. I bought the full version earlier than I wanted just because I thought that was something they withheld or something.

THANK YOU SO MUCH:)
