Snapshot images and saving libraries
When I take snapshots in VSX3 [that is capture a still image from a clip] they appear as a thumbnail in the library. Are they also saved somewhere else? With some prompting from Steve I played around a bit with the library manager and created a library for each project but when I choose the option to 'export library' all it seems to export is a pile of .dat files, filters etc. and no snapshot images. I realise with X3 there is now a means of gathering all files associated with a project but it would be nice to be able to save them all together in the first place . One word of warning; the 'reset library' option seems pretty deadly, with no opportunity for selection. Click and it is gone! So the question really is - what suggestions does anyone have to ensure links to snapshots can be maintained easily [because if they lost I don't know where to find the image to relink]?

Re: Snapshot images and saving libraries
The snapshots should be saved in the folder you have designated your working folder, done in the Preferences settings. If you have not set a different working folder from the default setting, they should be found in, C:\Users\Your User Name Here\Documents\Corel VideoStudio Pro\Corel VideoStudio Pro\13.0

Re: Snapshot images and saving libraries
Have you checked in the Working Folder as designated in Preferences?

Re: Snapshot images and saving libraries
whenever I start a new project I always make a new folder with the proposed project name - under a mother folder called VideoStudio projects - in 'my documents' - then I make sure I set that new folder as the working folder in 'preferences' then I can always find videos, snapshots, sound files etc. etc. associated with that project by just opening the relavent folder.
Incidentally it's the 'thumbnails ' which are not real and only exist inside a .dat file , the real image files exist as .jpg or .bmp files (according to YOUR settings) in the folder you choose as your working folder.

Hi Peem
Right click a thumbnail in the library and select properties
The File Name indicates its location on the hard drive.
Saving with VS.
If your not given the choice to allocate a save location then the ‘Working Folder’ will be used.
Using X2
When I choose to reset library I am given the option ’Are you sure you want to………….’
