VSX3 libraries

Post by Mace »

Have been a happy user of VSX2 for almost 12 months, I have just downloaded the X3 TBYB to see what improvements have been made. The main editor seems better now with a smaller number of tabs to work through. My problems seem to be with the Easy Edit and Burn options and the media libraries they produce. I have several network drives mapped to my computer which between them contain approx 500 folders of photos and 300 folders of music, the default seems to include all media VSX3 can find in the default Windows 7 libraries. Is there any way to remove all these folders and just add the folder I use for captured video, I have been through the import > computer list several times unticking boxes but every time I restart the program it seems to pick up all the folders again. I have looked through the online help but that just says which folders are included and how to add more but not how to remove ones not wanted.

I have the same problem with a new install of x3. When I try to burn a dvd, dvd factory opens. I would like to choose another sound track but the only one that is available to choose is one that is sitting on my desktop. Nothing else is listed. The dvd factory has crashed several times. It seems like there is a problem with metadata manager. I am running Win 7.

Any help would be great. I have been using this product for 10 years.

Corel was made aware of the fault and dislikes of DVD Factory, so as a remedy provided those that have purchased AND registered VS X3, a free copy of DVD MovieFactory 7SE. After 3 days, (provided you do not already have the full blown version of DVD MovieFactory 7 Pro installed), you will find a link to download it in the Do More tab of the Corel Guide.
