Hello,

If this has been reported as a bug, then you may want to try and make sure that your PaintShop Photo Pro X3 is updated, you can check the build number by clicking on HELP > ABOUT then check the version number.

If you have 13.0.0 > Download all updates from the link below starting with SP1 then SP2
http://www.corel.com/servlet/Satellite/ ... 9872271743

If you have 13.0.0.253, that means you have installed SP1 already, so you just need to download the SP2
http://www.corel.com/servlet/Satellite/ ... 8964026654

If you have 13.2.0.35 that means you are using SP2 already, then you can reset the software by holding down the SHIFT key while opening the program then Agree to the question.

According to Simone, this was reported as a bug 2 months ago, the second patch came out before that. So probably not all that useful for this particular problem. But it is always a good idea to keep the software up to date. :D

Yes, this way we can isolate that the issue was not fixed with the updates that was released. Do let us know what happens. Thanks! :)

I don't know about anyone else but I've had this problem since the beginning. And have had all of the patches installed since they came out. So, no, it's not fixed even after all of the patches.

This has been reported as bug 2 months ago.
And its a very sad reflection of the current state of PSP that bugs reported 2 months ago haven't been fixed. Bugs go unfixed and new releases are infested with a new batch. Patches are promised, and never arrive, or are charged for, or if they do arrive, fix too little too late.
(Actually, bugs reported 6 or 7 years ago haven't been fixed).

@Tim Morrison

I have to admit that this bug "Photos loading @ 100%" doesn't appear generally on all machines. I had it on my work computer but now it's gone! However, I have to reset several times my PSP, it's not like yours. At home, I don't have it and never had it. Nothing is more difficult to sort out than a problem that is not in the program itself, but in its environment.

After SP 2 came out, I tested my reported bugs ( I found most of them here and thanks for letting us know) and they are solved.
I work for the Corel UK Support. I will not give technical support through this forum and my answer is only related to this thread.

I have this problem with the first image loaded. Once the first image is loaded the rest seem to load the way they're supposed too.

In the big scheme of things this is a minor annoyance. I'd much rather Corel work on making more use of 16 bit images with more tools than this, but it would be nice to have it working properly.

I did find one or two fixed in SP2, but most of the ones that I've reported, as well as a few major problems that others have reported, haven't been fixed. (A couple of these were first reported within a week or two of X3's release in January).
Three of these make PSPP X3 unusable for me.
  • I have a number of palettes set to roll up to tabs on the sides of the workspace. Any time I change from the full editor to the Express Lab or Print Layout and return to the full editor, an additional set of tabs are created. After three or four times the workspace has become an unusable mess. (Reported by me on January 30th... four days after X3's release).
  • Scripts that use the Tkinter part of Python don't work. This is every script that offers user choices during its run.
  • If I open an image while PSPP X3 is closed, or from File > Open within X3, the image opens in a window within the workspace. If I open the image while X3 is already open, for instance by transferring it from another program or by double clicking on it in Windows Explorer, the image opens maximised. I regularly transfer images from a raw editor or an image browser because of PSP's shortcomings in those areas. The first time this causes X3 to open and the image is in the windowed view that I prefer, that I have set in the program preferences and which has been the PSP default in all previous versions. The second time, with X3 already open, the image is maximised, which I don't want and gets in the way if I'm working with more than one image.
If a user prefers tabbed images a similar problem occurs... the first opened image is tabbed, but the second often opens in a weird mode half way between tabbed and maximised and with some of the window controls either missing or inactive. (Reported by me on March 18th).
SP2 was released over three months ago, but there are still lots of outstanding bugs both large and small.
Not your fault I know, and please don't think we don't appreciate your great contributions to this group.

I know we digress from the original subject, but I would like to emphasise the frustration that TKinter does not work.
This occured when X3 came out and is probably due to the reorganisation of the Program Files structure but Corel have never aknowledged this

I also very much appreciate Simone (and now AbielOnline) being involved in this forym :D

This particular issue of Photos loading @ 100% does not occur for me when I try as Tim suggests.
I use Tabbed Images and load from a raw editor (Canon's DPP) or an image browser (ZoomBrowser)
and all images are sized correctly and not maximised.

I must be lucky :o

Hello Tadjio,

Just like what Simone mentioned, this is not a problem that happens to all but we do receive similar reports. We have to consider that the software that are installed on the computer as well as the Windows updates that was installed on the program.

As for me, it does not happen on my end as well. So we can only assume that software conflicts that causes this problem or Windows updates. I myself always make sure that I download all updates for Windows and other Microsoft software. I did tried installing IE 9.0 Beta and it caused some conflicts on some internet software that I'm using. So I decided to remove it and everything went back to normal.
