Hello Everyone:
Has anyone ever got this error message when burning a disk with MFPro 7:
THE VIDEO DATA IN THE MPEG FILE IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH THE PROGRAM
This message appeared near the end of the burning process. It through me for a loop because I even changed the settings to have MFPro7 convert the MPEG compliant files. So even if the file was not compatible, why didn’t it convert them.
I downloaded three AVI files from the Internet and converted them to MPEG2 with MediaCoder.
I am not looking for one answer because I know there could be numerous reasons why error messages appear. It's just that this error message is new to me and want to figure out how to fix any files in the future (i.e., if I can figure out what "not compatible with the program" means).

Re: Error Message: "Not Compatible"
My guess is the meta data is causing the trouble.
A downloaded file, so it may be corrupt from the start, or corrupted from downloading, or corrupted during conversion.
Try using squared5's streamclip to see if it will mend the mpeg file for you.

Or, convert the file into another file type, say wmv and then back again to mpeg and see if that will sort it.
What sort of avi was it from the download, maybe a divx or xvid, which can be troublesome as someone will no doubt have takena file adn converted it to that............. all that converting something can easily go wrong in the header dept.
