Can anyone solve this urgent problem for me? Tech Support refuses to assist, claiming that VideoStudio 11-Plus is excluded from support.
The problem:
I need my VideoStudio 11-Plus to generate the Swedish letter "Å" (and its lowercase version "å"). As you can see, this is the letter "A" (and "a") with a small circle on top.
Even though I've set my Windows to generate Swedish letters, and although the OTHER special-character Swedish letters (Ö , ö, Ä, ä) DO print in VideoStudio 11-Plus, the program does NOT generate this Swedish letter "Å" (and its lowercase version "å"). Instead, the program prints the letter "I" (or "i") with an accent-mark on top.
This happens even if I copy-paste the "Å" (or "å") from elsewhere into the program's text-line: the program instead shows the "I" (or "i") with an accent-mark on top.
So is there a fix that will work? Is there perhaps a Swedish character-set applet that I can download & install from somewhere on the Corel/Ulead website? Can anyone please provide a solution?
VideoStudio 11-Plus Won't Accept a Swedish Letter; why?

Hi Neutronius
Try using the "character map" to copy and paste your letters. It works with VS x2 so I see no reason why it will not work in Vs11+ but I haven't that version on my setup.
Here's what I copied å

Hi
I too have managed to copy and paste the Å character with no problems from your post to X2 and VS 10.
Unfortunately like John I do not have VS 11.
Have you applied all patches associated with VS 11.
Have you manually applied the Direct X update from the link at the top of this forum.
Its worth a go even if you have Windows Auto Updates active.
This has cured some problems with Video Studio, but as I said I do not use VS11.
