Hello
I'm a newbie here, and only a recent user of corel video studio 12.
I found a lot of good information here.
I use video studio to prepare mpeg files (probably 50 clips or more ) for an interactive dvd ( dvd lab pro)
each clip has his own .vsp.
is it possible to prepare a batch file for launching the 50 xxx.vsp ??
to create the mpeg files, without any action from user (mouse or keyboard)
I found only batch files for transcoding of video files.
thank you for help
how to create video file in batch

Please view:
What is a project file?
I VERY much doubt that DVDLab pro or in fact ANY non (Ulead) Corel software would be able to read a "vsp" file.

Re: how to create video file in batch
Hi
Are you intending to make the one mpeg video file from several projects (several VSP files)?
Adding all VSP’s to the timeline will allow VS to render the projects to one video file (Known as Nesting) I have not used this method.
Or are you intending to make individual video files from each project.
In which case Batch Convert should accept your project files (VSP’s)
The program will convert the projects to the settings under the ‘options’
Tip:-
Change the Project Properties to match the Mpeg convert settings before doing Tools—Batch Convert.
From Batch Convert----when you select the Save Type As option to ‘Mpeg files’ your properties will be used as default.
Otherwise set the properties under the ‘Options’ button.

Re: how to create video file in batch
thank you trevor, you catch my question and give the solution with batch convert.
i'm happy to know wthat batch accept vsp file ! (it's not clear in the help file )
excuse me for late answering, i didn't get an email notifying me that i had an answer....
( i found today a line to check in the profile..)
another question
i need mpeg with video only. the choice "video only' doesn't appear in the project mpeg option , but only in the share option...
does it mean i have to edit the mpeg option for each file in batch?
thank you
jean luc

Re: how to create video file in batch
Hi jean luc
The option from Batch Convert for ‘video only’ will render the files without audio.
Once selected it would apply to all files that are being converted. This would effectively produce a video with no audio stream.
I am not sure what effect this has on the video file, nor whether this approach is detrimental, others may comment on this…………
As I say I have not used this option and am unsure of its consequences.
Mute from Timeline
During editing you have the option to ‘Mute’ the clips in the timeline.
(Select a clip ---loud speaker icon adjacent to fade ramps)
Rendering these to Audio and Video will produce a complete file with an audio stream, which will in fact be silent, muted
