Doing some home movies. I had a person transfer them to see
if he could do better, he copied in dvd format.
Importing it I get the film projector sound.
Is their a way to import with out sound,
rather then deleteing in the edit screen.
Because (I think) you really don't delete it.
When you go to multi trim it puts it back in
so it seems? I know I can separate it in
edit, and delete it, trying to get rid of it permantely,
if I can?
thanks Bruce

No, you can't delete it permantly in the editing stage. Splitting the audio simply mutes the video track's audio, so removing the audio track would do no good.
A workaround would be, after your editing is done save the project (a VSP file). Start a new project and insert that VSP into the timeline. Doing so considers the VSP as a single video clip. Muting it will mute the entire thing.
As far as importing without sound, you don't tell us how you are importing. If you were using something that required you to connect audio cables then, yes, removing the audio cables would allow you to import without sound.

importing into vs12
I was just importing from a disc into
VS12 itself, it was already recorded
on a disc. They forgot to mute the
projector when recording
thanks bruce

Multi trim
As far as I know multitrim can only be used on video in its original form that has not been altered, you have to edit it afterwards.............Ken
