29.97 vs 30fps

Post by brucefl »

Been doing some video that is at 29.97. A frind bought some new equipt. and his when I imported was at 30fps. I know there isn't much of a different, in the edit command can I convert it all to 30fps?
Some of his video is clearer nd some isn't, so I need to work with both.
It might not matter to much when the project is finshised.
thanksBruce

The international standard speed for NTSC is 29.97 fps. mpt 30 fps. Some programs show the latter as a matter of simplifying it for people not particularly used to the technology involved. But in any case, the difference of 0.03 fps is not really going to be noticeable even if your friend's camera actually does film in an exact 30 fps...
