Frame edges

Post by Acadies »

Does anyone knows how to add a frame edge in your gallery frame edge and then you could see the selection in your frame/shadow under frame edge. I have try all kinds of ways and it doesn't work.

So, I'm wondering if it is possible at all, sure would be nice and same me lots of time if I were able to do it. I know that I could put them in my mask library, but that is not there I would love to have it. Have a zillions of them in an other folder but would like to put a duplicate one of the ones I use a lot in the frames edges gallery and not in the library.

Please help me out on this. Thanks a lot.

Galleries are designed for applied Painting based Effects, Libraries are designed for already created Vector Based Objects, and the two are NOT synonymous. In addition Galleries contain one large control file, to store all Effects which have been applied to a Base image. Libraries contain multiple files controlled by a “list” Based file, therefore each a different file extension to separate different methods of storage.

All of the SMP Gallery files and UOL Library files can be found in Ulead.dat. If you installed with presets into your Group Name a second copy of Ulead.DAT is installed there. It contains copies of the SMP Galleries, but only the File List for the Libraries which point to Ulead.dat in the Home Folder.

I think you have a great idea. I would like to accomplish the same. As an old programmer I would have to say that it would be much easier if Ulead would make it possible for us to view the Galleries and the Libraries Tree at the same time, perhaps in two different Dialog Panes.

Maybe you should contact Ulead and request this become a new feature for the next Upgrade.

Hello Keenart, What you did state here, I know all of that, but since I'm able to put classic frames in the frame gallery, thought it would be possible to put edge frame also.

I did send an email to Ulead about this, so I'm waiting for a response. What ever response I will get, I will post in here to let you know.

Thanks for taking the time to reply to my post.

Acadies,

I am going to run another possibility by you for your consideration.

Create, if not already created, your own Custom Gallery.

Create a New Task, give it any name, then begin recording.

Go into the Library and highlight the Frame or item you want to put in the Gallery. Drop this item onto the empty PI 10 Desktop, not into another image.

If the Item is what you want, no further adjustments, stop recording the "Said" New Task. (Note: you can make many more adjustments if you desire before ending the Task.)

On the Quick Command Panel, while displaying the tab Task, select the Icon Add this Task to the EasyPallete. You can only save this Task to the Custom Gallery you previously created.
