Having found my way around the capturing process with a lot of help from members of this forum I am now having problem burning to DVD. I can go all through the process of capture, editing & rendering without any problems but the final process of burning fails. I can burn via VS6 so I'm sure there is no problem with drive.
I need to burn to to 8.5gb double layer disc's owing to size of video files. VS11+ has this option but VS6 does not, "unless I'm wrong" so can not use VS6 for the burn process. I have also tried 4.7 disc's in VS11+ but still does not burn.
When burning via VS6 a plug-in window opens before burning. Do I have a plug-in missing for VS11+?
Sorry this is a bit long winded but any help would be appreciated.
Regards
David

Hi Brian
Yes I am selecting the double layer 8.5.
The burn process is as follows
Total Progress-Prepare output content
_______________________________100%
Detailed Progress-Video/Audio Muliplexing
_______________________________100%
Then
Total Progress- Prepare output content
_______________________________100%
Detailed Progress-Finalizing VOB
_______________________________100%
All the above process completes Ok I then get the following error message
Ulead Videostudio failed to burn data onto disc [534:-2147216291:0]
I can go through the burn process if I burn via create DVD folders. I also tried a very sort film and it burned OK to a 4.7 disc so not sure what the problem is regarding the 8.5's

And we can assume your burner is rated for double layer discs?
