Started VS11.5+ and in the edit function, when I click on Attributes, no video filters are available. The .dat files still exist in the application data folder.... Did I do something to make them go away???? Any ideas on how to make them available again?
Thanks.

The fourth post, from TDK1044, is the easiest solution.
Nobody knows why it happens, but it's a problem VS has had for several versions.

Re: Video Filters Unavailable? and new related problem
I wasn't sure which of my previous posts to put this in....
I was able to fix my lack of filters problem as suggested - remove uvs.ini and re-start (but first copying my VS_Video.dat and similar library files to another drive first since they are otherwise overwritten with the basic .dat files). That worked fine and I was able to copy my .dat files back and have all my custom libraries again.
The other day my filters "disappeared" again so I went through the same process. I got my filters back but when I copy my custom .dat files back into the appropriate folder and re-start VS, only the default libraries are there. I still have copies of my custom library files from this time as well as from the previous similar event. It seems VS is just not recognizing them. Any suggestions?
Thanks.
Wayne

Re: Video Filters Unavailable?
Sorry about the Profile. I guess things have changed since I last put that info in. I don't think it has much to do with my present problem though. I have added no hardware or software since I was able to access my custom libraries.
I have tred replacing the uvs.ini several time now and returning my custom libraries to the ApplicationData\etc.\etc. folder, But i am still only getting the basic libraries showing up.
Should I try reloading VS11.5+?
Any other ideas?

Re: Video Filters Unavailable/Restoring Custom Libraries
I was reading back through some of my other posts here and found that when I was having problems with burning DVDs:
http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=30655
In that problem, I coincidentally bumped into a similar problem of not getting my custom libraries to work after a re-install of VS. The way I finally got them to come back was to copy them into the appropriate ApplicationData folder then click on the .dat file itself to restart VS11.5+. When it re-started, my custom libraries were there. I had to do this for each custom library, one at a time, closing and re-starting VS each time. I had forgotten all about that.
So I tried that again just now. It did not work with my most recent set of .dat file copies. But when I went to the previous set of copies from about two weeks earlier and did the same thing, it worked!
It seems there must be a problem of some sort with my most recent copies. I will go with my next older set and will only lose about 5 hours of work instead of hundreds of hours of work over the past four years. I can live with that.
Once again, if this Forum was not here, I would have been screwed. Thanks again to the moderators for keeping it up!
