Problem with 3D transition

Problem with 3D transition
Corel Video Studio is a real stable program untill I decided to use the 3D transitions for several times. I mean using it in more then one transition section.
When doing so it just close the whole program.I have to do this slowly and not for more then 3 section . If not then it closes again. I have to recover the file every time I open the program again.
In my oppinion it's the program itself can't handle 3D transitions. Sometimes it close just by touching one of the 3D transitions.
I want to hear from more of you if maybe I am the only one or not ??

Um... the stick Announcement is at the top of this very forum, fourth down from the top on my screen, at least...
But for ease of reference, the thread is http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewtopic.php?p=184763#184763
And of course, since it is a Microsoft product, you could have gone to the MS site and done a search there.

Now things are wurst. After a DirectX Feb 2010 update.
Now my rendering stops at 73% and my 3D transitions are in the same situation.
Mmmm. seems I have to solve this also on my own as usual.
there was no other program nor utilities install the last three months.
Today I decide to install the new DirectX Feb 2010 and BINGO more problems arrived. For now I have to go back to the earlier version of DirectX . It's not my RAM neither it's my HD space cause there are plenty space here. I have three HD of 7200 rpm each: 500GB : 400GB and 250 GB
My Video NVidia GeForece GT 220 with 1GB DDR2. CPU= Core 2 QUAD 2.66GHz. Everything seems to work fine without having any problem except for that 3D transition, I can't use it frequently or three times or sometimes not even touch any 3D transition. Thank you guys for the help and have a nice day.

It would be good if you could post what the file type and size is that you're trying to render in 3d on X3. I was trying to duplicate your problems and can't. I've not yet loaded that Feb DirectX update, so am running on the November update, but that doesn't seem to matter. Also, my puter setup is somewhat similar to your's, at least close enough that it shouldn't make a difference one way or the other.
So here's what I did... took a 15 meg 720p video that I'd shot for Fox News Rising, cut it into 8 separate pieces and inserted a different 3d transition between each piece. Ran fine, no problems. Ran at 30fps with not even a single hiccup.
So I took a 1080p file, 32 meg, shot the same night, did the same thing except I cut it into 16 pieces so I could use all 15 of the 3d transitions, inserted each one, ran the video, played fine, save it off as Mpeg-4 then cut a DVD with it. Plays just wonderfully.
So I went back to X2 to try and duplicate. Can't run true hi-def on it and no 1080p at all, but was able to insert transitions of all kinds into the video with no issues either.
So, sorry but I couldn't duplicate what you have for a problem. Mind you I'm not related at all to Corel but when I see these issues I get interested and try to dup them to see if I have the same issue. Nice to know your software's weaknesses, but so far no joy in dup'ing your issues.
I would suggest maybe looking at what other processes you have running while you're working in X3. Matter of fact, you need to have task manager open and watch your memory and hd performance while you're working in X3, that will tell us a lot more about what's happening on your system while X3 is open.

...if I only had a brain...
I found the problem with rendering. It's the new Video driver I installed two days ago.It makes my rendering stop between 70% and 75%.
I use normally HDV 1080i-60i PC file rendering. I really don't want to go in detail with NVIDIA nor with Corel cause I have been once already with this kind of problem. It ends up always NVIDIa say's that it's Corel and Corel say's it's NVidia. The problem with the transitions is still an issue cause I have to use them very careful and not more then three or it freezes. I have to save and shut down the program and run again to go on using 3D transitions if more is needed. I still think it's the program having problem with these 3D transitions or these 3D transitions are bad coded. I will take a look by using the disassembler but need time the coming three weeks for something different.
Maybe Corel will take a look before this start pulling back the software. If you think logic you will end up saying the same. It's the program or the 3D transition that came with the program. I have been using 3D trasitions within PowerPoint with ease and no problems at all. So think about it and give me your opinion. Together we may solve this.
