can not see the next button or even the back button

First of all my Apologies :( if this question has been raised).

I really havent had time to use this for a long while, however i now have windows 7,I have created my master piece(well i think so) but when i attempt to create a DVD menu I can not see the next button or even the back button,I am guessing there may be a patch for this?everything else is fine just the menu which seems to have part of it missing.(the create title menu),
I would also appreciate the post which Ken details about create video file first ,then to burn as i seem to have jerky titles in places, and guess i have done this procedure all wrong.

Kindest Regards
David
PS i will update my profile

There are in fact two patches for X2, both of which you need to install. The second is for Windows 7 compatibility. It is all contained in a Sticky post towards the top of the forum with a fairly obvious title: http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewtopic.php?p=175188#175188

Not quite sure which post of mine you mean. But our recommended procedure for standard def DVDs is to do your edits, then depending on how long it is, render the project into a DVD-compatible mpeg-2 using Share > Create Video File > DVD (if the project is an hour or less long). If longer, then use Share > Create Video File > Custom, and make sure you lower the bitrate: to around 6000 kbps if the project is around 90 minutes; and 4000 kbps if it is two hours. You will get an extra 10 minutes to fit on extra if you use either Dolby or mpeg layer 2 audio.

Once the new file is rendered, you can play it back to make sure the titles have come out correctly. Then create a new project. Don't bother giving it a name. The objective is just to clear the timeline.

Then select Share > Create Disc > DVD. The burning module will open and you insert your newly created file. Proceed from there with building your menu.

The only other thing you need to check is that in the middle of the three icons in the bottom left of the burning screen, the box beside "Do not convert compliant MPEG files" is checked.
