Menu sound volume in VS11

Post by Davidk »

Hi,

I'm using VS11+ with the update packs and have started using alternate music as part of the menu on a project. However, the choices I've made so far have played too loudly and there does not seem to be a method of controlling the volume of the menu music only at burn time.

For example, burning a file with a menu and at the point where preview can be selected, choose the edit tab and substitute the background music required. The audio properties button near that list box controls fade and duration but - so it seems - not the volume. In the actual preview panel there's a volume control, but it changes or overrides everything - menu and the video clips - together.

Does VS11+ allow the menu background music volume to be managed higher or lower, but affecting the menu only? If so, detail of how would be appreciated.

Thanks,

davidk

I don't think any version of VS has allowed volume adjustment of the menu music, and I think that is a short-coming. Your alternative is to adjust the volume of the clip first with an audio editior before you bring it into the menu.
