Hello,
I created a 40 minute video in X2 and then rendered it to a .iso. Then I made a few changes and rendered again. Then I made some very small changes (reordered a couple of clips and adjusted audio levels). When I attempted to render, the progress got to about 21% and stopped. Eventually, I had to use Task Manager to kill the program.
I restarted X2 and rendered the video but it went very quickly (1 minute to render 40 minutes of video). When I viewed the result, none of my latest changes were in the video. So I tried again. That time it took an appropriate amount of time to render but the final result still didn't have my changes in it.
I created an .mpg file from the project and all of my changes made it, so I'm reasonably sure the VSP file is ok.
I found a solution to the problem by using the Smart Package command to create a copy of the project. Then I uninstalled X2 and deleted the directories it places in the AppData folders (Corel and ULead), working folder, and the smart proxy folder.
I reinstalled X2 and the project rendered to a .iso the first time with all of the VSP contents.
My question is: it seems like the "DVD Authoring Wizard" was confused about the state of my project. Is there anyway (other than what I did) to "reset" it so that it reloads from the project file? Could I have just deleted some "cache" file somewhere and saved the trouble of reinstalling?
Thanks,
Mike

Re: X2 VSP contents not in rendered DVD
Sorry for the extreme delay with any replies to your questions.
Are you jumping straight into the burn module (Share>Create Disc) from the editor? Are you first rendering your project (Share>Create Video File), then going into the burn module? If so are you clearing your timeline, by either deleting all content, or selecting File>New Project, before opening the burn module? When you are rendering are you over-writing the previous file, or creating a new file? Sometimes trying to over-write video files is not successful, it will tend to corrupt the file.
If you rendered a video file before opening the burn module (DVD Authoring Wizard), you must make sure that you insert your most recent rendered video file. Without closing VS, or starting a new project, the DVD Authoring Wizard will retain all the previous data, to include the location(s) of all clips. So if you just rendered a video file, did not over-write, and/or the video file was in a different location, the newly created video file will not be automatically inserted to the timeline of the DVD Authoring Wizard. The previous ones will be used, which might be why you did not see any of the modifications you made.
