Edited video not have the smoothness of the original.

Post by fabioffa »

I'm new to the forum. I use the program videostudio pro X3 and appreciate it.
However I'm having a problem when I create the project file that I'm doing (option: Share. On the menu). The final video does not have the same quality of video sources (Smooth). When the final video seems to have less FPS than the original, giving a small effect of lag. However the output settings are the same as the original video.

As an example I have the links from the two videos.

Test 1 is the video that I edited. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3v1J9yKElsU

Test 2 is the final video edit. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0IwtApK4pNE

settings for each one:

The original:

the final:

I've tried to record through various formats, although the effect of
loss of FPS continues. How do I get that video edited to have the same
smoothness of the original????

Sorry about my english.

You may be right about the FPS. You are starting out with a video that is 30.056 fps and rendering to 29.97 fps, for a difference of .086 fps. Where is the source file from?

Thanks for the reply.

I made the video originally with a Kodak Z1485 Digital Camera. (A Quick Time video with 1280 x 720). So I converted it to WMV with the settings that I reported above.

PS - I converted the video with the program FormatFactory

If you intended on producing a MPEG2 file, why didn't you originally convert it to that?

Well, it's a good question.
I converted the videos a while ago.
I thought that WMV would be a lightweight format to work
I have to convert the original video again (Quick time)?
If so what format would be better?

[Edit] Can I make some change in FPS. directly in Video studio X3?[/edit]
