VS12 Plugins in VS13

Post by SnedekerDesignz »

The only thing keeping me from buying VS13 is some plugins, like the FilmPro and others like that. I miss these, and need them (use 'em all the time), how can I get them in VS13?

Just copy them from the VS12 plug-in folder and paste them to the approprate VS13 folder.

The plugin folder has folders like "black" and "color" so I was not sure what ones they were. One file is one plugin?

Oh and thanks :)

I don't have v13 on this computer, so I can't help with that at the moment. Sorry. Maybe someone will chime in in the meantime.

The easiest way is to do it in 3 steps. This is to prevent VSX2 plug ins from over writing VSX3 plug ins.

1. Rename the folder
C:\Program Files\Corel\Corel VideoStudio Pro X3\vft_plug
to
C:\Program Files\Corel\Corel VideoStudio Pro X3\vft_plugX
2. Copy this folder
C:\Program Files\Corel\Corel VideoStudio 12\vft_plug
and paste it so that it becomes
C:\Program Files\Corel\Corel VideoStudio Pro X3\vft_plug

At the moment you now have a VSX2 plug in folder. Now to update that to include the new VSX3 stuff.....

3. Select all the files in your previously renamed folder
C:\Program Files\Corel\Corel VideoStudio Pro X3\vft_plugX
Paste them into
C:\Program Files\Corel\Corel VideoStudio Pro X3\vft_plug
replacing any existing files it finds in that folder.
