No Valid Content!

Post by paulbk108 »

Hello,

I have recently purchased a copy of Movie Factory 7 and so far have not had alot of luck. I am trying to back up some movies and when I choose "Import DVD_Video DVD_VR or AVCHD file from a disc or hard drive" then get the "Import Digital Media" dialog box, then choose "1. E:\VIDEO_TS" and hit Start I get a "There is no valid content" message.

I know this is not true as it is an original DVD!

Can someone please help?

Regards Paul.

Are they copyrighted movies? If so they are probably copy protected.

I shall assume they are copyrighted. Is there a way to tell?

Yes there is... It should say somewhere on the disc insert, or the disc itself, or if it is a commercially produced DVD, it stands a 99.99999% chance of being copyrighted. Then there's also like you are finding, you just can not copy anything from the disc to your pc.
