Had a couple issues with x3

I've been using X2 for the last year and love it for what I have been doing. I purchased the X3 upgrade and chose the download option.

I have had to drop and reload x2 before but didn't have an issue since the program stayed on my hard drive and all I had to do was reinstall. This was due to an overly full hard drive which I corrected the memory issue.

After using x3 for a small project, a audio file from another clip not used in the project filled in the muted audio from the video, after installing a music file which didn't play when viewing in preview. What could cause something like this?

I uninstalled x3, and some how the program was erased from the hard drive at the same time. So I dropped back to x2 to complete the project, had to redo it more like it. Can I copy my friends program and use my product key, or do I need to pay for it again since I didn't purchase the download protection?

My Computer, is a ASUS laptop with a core duo, 4g ram, 300g hard, NVIDA9600 graphics with 1g dedicated memory.

I use a JVC GZ series HD HDD 3CCD camera.

I'm about as entry level as it gets, my last computer had windows 98...

If your friend's installation program accepts your key, then there should be no problem... But I would certainly keep a safe copy of it e.g. on a separate CD or DVD...

I will be around here while learning and growing...starting to have to learn the deinterlacing thing now, so I'll be bound to get messed up somewhere along the line.

I'll definatly put a copy in storage on the external now.
