Have you tried a DirectX update or a reinstall?

It's always in a sticky Announcement towards the top of this Forum. But for ease of reference it's http://download.microsoft.com/download/ ... redist.exe

Can you recall whether you bought VS11 as an upgrade to a previous version? If so, the installation routine would ask for two serial numbers: the one for VS 11 but also the one for the previous version, just to prove that you were justified in buying an upgrade version and not the full new version.
It could be that you are putting the VS11 number in the wrong spot...

After you installed VS11 on your Windows 7 did you install the patches and updates?
If not here is a link to the patches.

I started off with 10 but soon upgraded to 11+ I have installed it on my other machines but when i made the upgrade from Vista 32 bit to Win 7 64 bit it went to the old windows programs. Just wonder if I should delete this folder and try to reinstall it to new system?
I will contact Corel support and address this issue and see what they say.
Thanks for the suggestions and input people.

So if I read you right, you upgraded from Vista32 to Win7x64... I've heard nothing but bad news about making that move. I did a complete new load, bought an inexpensive but decent SATA hard drive, loaded it with fresh Win 7 rather than the upgrade, kept two HD's that i had, one at XP the other at Vista, and put the 64bit Win7 on the new drive. Now it hosts only the new programs that are built around the 64bit footprint. Even my X3 and VidX3 loaded up as X86 files so they are on my old Vista drive now.
So far not a single glitch that I can relate to Win7x64. I've had plenty of glitches but none related to this. So I went back and loaded my X2 and 11 programs, x2 on Vista drive, 11 on XP drive, and X2 seems to run fine but I'm finding all kinds of glitches interfacing 11 with Win 7. I can uplug my Win7 sata drive and let the system boot onto Vista or XP and 11 seems to work fine. I think it's maybe not super-compatible with a 64 bit system. I'm not sure how it was designed, but it works fine on both of my previous setups but I was glad I'd upgraded to X2. My trial of X3 is running very well but I'm not finding a real reason to pay for X3 since I have X2. If I had only 11, I'd up to X3, it's waaaay better, imo.

I run Pro X3 which i love the edits to it still getting adjusted.
I run VS11+ also
and Vegas Pro 9.
Looking to get Avid soon
Still loyal with VS for quick and easy edits.
Chromenut I duno man I'm also a IT consultant and can usually walk through this stuff. Has to be something I'm doing wrong well see.
I just like VS11 for the ease of making DVD's and X3Pro is horrible with it which has been expressed on this forum alot of times.......Ugh

Time to bite the bullet and upgrade to VSX3.
If you manually download and install all updates/addons will be fine...
Still not convinced about the new authoring program that comes seperate...
