Windows 7 and vs10+

Post by ruggy1 »

I have been away a while and have read all the existing posts I can. I have a new Windows 7 computer, loaded all my ulead stuff - MF 4 does not capture, MF5 mostly does, but VS10 (I know it is old and I have ordered VS12) comes up with "cannot build preview" when I try to capture - it recognises my Canopus device but goes no further. Nero 8 recognises the input device and captures, but I can never work out how to use Nero, it is so alien. Does anyone have any idea how I can get VS to work? Thanks
MF2, MF3, MF4, MF5, VS7, VS10+, VS12, Nero Vision Express. Ricoh and Sony 16x DVD recorder, Sony HC5 High def camera. Also Canopus ADVC110 for AV/DV input through firewire

VS10 has a patch for Vista that should make it work on Windows 7.
Go to this link and select VS10 and open the PDF file, it will point you to the Vista patch.

Why buy VS x2 when X3 is available?

Thanks for the solution.

Thanks, I will try the patch. The reason I have reordered VS12 is that I originally bought it last year, but lost it when my computer crashed.
