VS X3 PRO Audio problem
For some unknown reason I cannot seem to preview any audio either from scrubing the timeline or by any other audio preview method. This includes audio from the video track and music from the library or other file source that would be placed in the timeline. Audio scrubbing is enabeled in properties and audio works fine in all other windows applications. Audio is not muted and volume slider in preview window is turned up. I even see the visual indicaters in the VU meter so it's really puzzling. Trying to redo the directX deal in case that has something to do with it. I have VS Pro X2 and audio there works perfect. Running Win 7 PRO 64bit on a Sony VIAO Centrino 2.

Do you have audio from other programs ? Media player, standard windows sounds?
Has it ever worked ?
Backtrack what you may have done?
System restore to a point it did work ?
System hardware remove and allow windows to re-find/add?
Internal or external speakers/amplifier?

Re: VS X3 PRO Audio problem
Yes, it did work initially... not sure what stopped it from working (haven't used it very often and have done much with my computer). All other programs work without error, I have no audio problems in any program except VS X3 Pro. VS12 works fine - no audio problem... for the moment I am editing in the VS X3 Pro time line, then saving as a VS12 project, opening in VS12 and adding and editing audio there then reopening in VS X3 Pro to get the finl render (noticed my X3 titles don't work in VS12). On a side note, I hate VS X3 DVD software - what a piece of crap! I am still going back to VS12 for DVD authoring. Started playing with Sony Vegas Pro 9 and I'll tell you the truth... I wish someone would get off their *** and put Media Studio Pro back online updated to todays needs and abilities.
Uninstalling and reinstalling the program does nothing.
