It is 451MB so be prepared for a long download

I understand the forum can't have that posted openly but I for one am a bit frustrated. I have tried everything mentioned in this thread with no luck. Corel won't reply to my request. They had no problem charging my mastercard in less than 5 seconds when I bought VSX3 though.

Again, they are using technology for antitheft which is defeating it's own purpose. If I don't hear from them by today I think I will just download MF7 full version and crack from E-mule. Maybe a couple other "freebies" too while I'm there. Hey I'm trying to support them but sometimes they are just TSTH.

My problem was solved through the generosity of another member here. I will be interested to know if Corel ever responds to my support request.

Authoring module X3

Post by mrbobbell »

After daily checking of the "Do More" tab, I discovered MovieFactory 7 SE (DMF7SEforVSX3.exe) under that tab today for the first time as "download now".

Also new for me (under "Do More") was a plug for the SmartSound Royalty Free Music Library, but unlike MovieFactory 7 SE, the music is clearly not a free add-on.

Feel free to PM me if you are interested in the steps I took to download and install DMF7SEforVSX3.exe

I already have the program but it seems to me that it is appearing under the do more tab under the try tab. Has anybody actually gotten it from the get more tab itself like the links to the free templates etc? Some of you may be looking in the wrong place.

Corel has definitely said that it is only in the Do More tab; and so it will not appear under Get More...

It certainly is under Do More tab, but hidden due to other products.
You have to use the Right arrow or the Left arrow to find the MF7SE.
I have now download MF7SE, which is stored in the following directory.
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Corel\Downloads
Authoring AVCHD output to file is not allowed.
When Preview is used MF7SE aborts and shuts down.
The Free MultiAVCHD program is a better Authoring tool & it works!

Wondering if anybody in the USA was able to download DMF7SE. I still don't see DMF7SE in my "Get More" tab. I check the “Do More” and “Get More” tabs regularly and see a lot of DoMore items but cannot find “MovieFactory 7 SE.

I'm in the USA and have yet to see it. I have owned X3 since it was released and have gotten all the Get More's, but not this one. I am thinking that it does not appear because I still have X2 installed... Al

If you already have DMF 7 then you do not get a link to the SE version.

After removing and reinstalling X3 over a week ago [to cure another problem] I still don't have any 'get more' or 'learn more' tabs. Is there a step I am missing ?

I have a laptop running Win7/32. Video Studio X3 installed with no problem, I got all the extras, and via the Do More tab was able to download and install WM7 SE.
This was after unsuccessfully trying to install VSX3 onto my PC running WinXP. I particularly wished to install VSX3 onto my pc, but after trying the original download and the trial download, suggested on this forum, I was unable to see the Do More Tab. It was after trying to install it on my PC that I tried the installation on my Laptop, and was surprised when it installed with no problems.
I previously had VSX2 on my PC, I wonder if that was the reason I was unable to get the Do More tab? I have never had DMF7 on both of my computers.
I used the same software on both my computers, so it isnt a problem with the software, it must be some difference with my operating system, any one have any clues as to why it will not install, and show the Do More tab on my PC. Another problem that has now arisen is- am I allowed to install VSX3 on more than one computer?

Yes, so long as only 1 copy is loaded into RAM, at a time, ie; you can only use 1 at a time..;) Just be careful, you
never know when the EULA police are peering in your windows..

Thanks Ron for the reply.

That's one problem solved!!

I'll keep looking for a solution to why I cannot see the Do More Tab on my PC. As a temporary measure I can use my PC to compose my video and then transfer the video file onto my laptop for authoring. ( I can work with my PC easier than the lap top )

I have tried all the solutions on this forum, ie. forwarding the computer date forward, reinstalling (about 5 times at the currrent tally) .......Waiting for the tab to appear. I think that the only solution that will work for me is if, and when Corel comes up with the solution, and I await their pleasure.

Incidently, I like the new VSX3. Some really good improvements over VSX2.

PS. If the police are looking in my window, do you think they would come in and get VSX3 to work properly on my PC
