I can of course download the former from the website, and I have my own full version of MF 7 Pro which I could install. But I am holding off from doing either just to see how long some users have to wait before the Get More/Do More features work, if ever!

Today is the sixth day since I bought this computer and installed X3, and I still don't get either the Get More tab or the Do More tab! In other words, I still haven't got either the title and style packs, or MF7 SE that way.
I can of course download the former from the website, and I have my own full version of MF 7 Pro which I could install. But I am holding off from doing either just to see how long some users have to wait before the Get More/Do More features work, if ever!

Is it really using the i7 ???
Well. I downloaded the X3 trial (still using X2) and is it me or X3 ? The i7 cpu is barely being used ! When I compare it to my two other video editors that also use the i7 to it's full, X3 is much slower with lesser video quality. What goes ?

Ken,
Do you keep your computer on all the time?
I've found that in order to activate the "Get More" tab that you need to restart Windows 3 times on separate days. What I did after a clean install of Windows XP is to set the Windows date back a week earlier. Then I installed VS3. After installation I went into Advanced Editing, then just exited. Afterwards there was a pop-up message that an update was available with a button to install it (not MF7SE but some small update). I just said to remind me next time. Then I set the Windows date to the next day and restarted Windows. Then back into Advanced Editing followed by an exit and increase date by one day. I just repeated a couple more times until I got a popup window with the "Get More" tab when I entered Advanced Editing.
I remembered to set the Windows date back to today's date.
But there was still no MovieFactory 7 SE to download.
I don't have any version of MovieFactory installed on my machine, but I am registered as having purchased DVDWS6+ and the HD Pack. With that on record, I may not get an offer to download MF7SE.

Kingston -- thanks for the suggestion, which has merits... But unfortunately, I reboot my computer at least once each day (and since it is new and I am installing other programs and Windows 7 updates, usually two or three times a day). So the extra tabs have well and truly had the opportunity to appear by now.
As for your suggestion that somehow your registered version of Workshop as blocking download of MF, I very much doubt it -- especially since I infer that you don't even have Workshop installed at the moment. But they are very distinct programs, and even though Corel has come up with this "ingenious" way of providing updates, I doubt even more that they have a way of cross-checking on line what your other programs might be. Mind you, my full MF 7 Pro, and indeed previous versions of MF, are also registered... So now that I come to think of it, I can only wonder whether you might be onto something... though I still doubt that it is Workshop that is causing the problem!!
My other thought is to wonder whether it might somehow be linked to registration of X3. I had already registered X3 when I installed it on my other computer. As far as I can recall, I never received the Registration page when I installed it on this computer. And I cannot find any other tab within X3 which takes me to the registration webpage -- where in any case I am already registered!

Needless to say, I have been in fairly regular contact with Corel over all this. And I just got the suggestion from them that I check my Firewall settings to make sure X3 was able to access the Corel server. I initially pooh-poohed this idea since X3 a couple of days ago clearly accessed the Corel server when it found and downloaded the small update patch.
But just to dot all the i's, I opened my Nortons 360 v.4, and what should be at the head of the Firewall access list but X3. It was showing access as being Auto which obviously had allowed it access to the server to get the patch. But just to see what happened, I changed it to Allow. And then opened X3, and lo and behold! Both Do More (with MF 7 SE) and Get More are there!!
So I would suggest those of you who have not done so, might now check to see what their firewall settings are saying about X3 and make sure it is Allowed... And also check Do More rather than Get More for MF 7 SE...
Thank you, Corel. Problem solved, at least for me!

Well, 30 mins ago I also decided to check my firewall settings (WinXP SP3 with built-in firewall, no additional firewalls in anti-virus software) and added X3 program as exception allowing to contact any computer incl. on Internet.
Applied the settings, restarted X3, checked the magic tabs Do/Get More - no luck. Checked for updates - no new updates.
currently I'm downloading fresh TBYB version and will re-install my registered version (currently an installation from VSX3_Pro_PF.exe downloaded from the link from my order) - may be it will help...

No, I'm using the full version.
One of the posts above contains an quote from Corel support team message suggesting to install fresh TBYB and register it.
I'll download the fresh TBYB, un-install my current version, install TBYB and register it. And keep the firewall opened for fresh TBYB also.
Not sure it will help, just in case...

Sorry, but as noted above, I finally got in my Do More tab after playing with the firewall settings. Now downloaded and installed.
Sergeyso: I suggest you do NOT install the TBYB version. If you originally had the full download version, the key for that will NOT work with the TBYB version (and indeed the activation process for the latter is quite different...)
