I have been trying since the news it was released, but none of the suggestions I have read in this thread have done the trick so far. This is not a tbyb version of video studio and no other version of movie factory has ever been installed in this computer. As usual contacting corel customer support about the issue has turned up to be a dead end as they don’t feel the need to reply to my email. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the suggestion, but all Corel programs on my computer have firewall rules added and have downloaded updates in the past. Strange problem for sure, but Corel finally sent me the link in a response to my email. Problem solved! Again thanks for the help guys.

Corel are aware of the problems associated with the Get More / Do more system and are currently working on a solution.

Congratulations on your new computer Ken.
I would appreciate you sharing what it is you bought, as I am looking for a machine that can actually do a preview without choking.
I am using a 64 bit WIN 7.

Thanks
M
Many thanks

I'm not sure which Ken you are referring to. If it is me, I am still using the computer I bought in late 2008 whose specifications are in my profile.

My mistake I remember you were thinking of getting another machine that would give a better preview (no or less jerking - mine freezes) and I saw someone bought a new machine. I remember because at the time you were photographing pyramids. You also got me to get that amazing tripod.

It all started when I started reading about X3 hoping it would be happier burning DVDs.
Since I have been spending time making lots of stills (sold the house and got a Canon 7D) I saw that the X3 was bundled with Corel Photo and have no idea what it is.
Amazing how there is always something to have to think about and find information - anyway I'll at least upgrade to X3 and hope the DVD burning problem is solved some time soon.
Many thanks

Is there a way to download more menu templates? My version of MF 7 SE has very few. I don't see any "Get More" menus in this program.

How many is very few ? Since I have and use the full version of DVD MF 7, I don't have the SE version installed, thus I can't check to see just how many menu templates are included. However you're aware that each template is customizable, which would in essence would be "more".

You will not see the Get More or Do More in DVDMF 7SE. It was designed way before VS X3 was thought of. Any "goodies" were had through Corel's website, or a link provided in an email.

And I am pretty sure the menu templates made by other users, found in the Free Stuff part of this web board, will work in MF 7 SE too...

When a person successfully downloads the authoring module where does it reside?

I have downloaded and installed the three updates from the website. I can't find MF7SE any where. It has never appeared in get more or do more. Lots of bits and bobs are in those two things and I have downloaded some of them(lots of fonts).

Has any one else installed the service pack and not seen the authoring module?

Do you already have a trial or full version of MovieFactory installed on your machine? If so, DVD MF 7SE will not be available to you.

No, just the thing that comes with X3.

I did however install as Pal, uninstall and reinstall as NTSC. Perhaps this is causing MF7 SE to not show.

Hi Folks,

I contacted Corel and they gave me the link for the new authoring package. I installed it and it has broken the old one (Corel DVD Factory). Corel DVD Factory now wants to be Purchased with the pop up opening for entering a serial number;-( When I go through the "Already Purchased" button to connect to corel and log in to my account it complains that the product is not recognised. When this fails the blue ray section becomes unavailable.

It seems you have to be hooked up to the Internet to download new authoring module for X3. But... I do not have Internet on my computer, which I have Pro X3 on. So how can I download it??? Can I do that on another computer? Regards, Mike
