New authoring module for X3

I still don't even have a get more tab in my Corel Guide.
Installed VS about week o so.

Have you got the full version of VS or the TBYB version. If TBYB then patches are not available for that.

I am really disappointed in hearing this. Through other discussions I'd read, I saw that many of you do rendering twice when making a disc. Firstly into different video files and then creating/rendering the final DVD disc. There is no sense in doing so.

I cannot even count how many DVDs I'd made in the past of weddings and other events. I never ever created a video file. I do four of more projects for the different parts of the DVD, then import these VSPs at the end and then do the rendering only once.

Then, we all know that patches don't work on the TBYB versions. Will Corel release a new TBYB version with all the latest changes or how can we test it before or if you ever want to buy this procuct? I hope this is not the final changes, if so many of us will wave Corel a final goodbye.

It is now more than 3 days since I installed X3 on a brand new computer with no other Corel products on it. And still nothing -- no Get More at all (and I haven't even received the message for the Get More title and style packs, let alone MF 7 SE). I just tried the Check for Updates, and it came up with VSProX3_Patch.exe which I downloaded and installed. But nothing else.

I have also sent a message to Corel telling them they are going to have a lot of unhappy campers on their hands if something doesn't happen soon. They are checking to see what might have happened...

FWIW, my laptop went tilt the other day, so I had to reformat it again. I think that it's getting overheated.. Well anyway instead of waiting for the GET MORE to surface, I just downloaded and installed from the links on Corel's website. I lost my patient for this a long time ago..

I did however finally get the update patch.

On Corel website they released a patch for Paint Shop Pro X3... so why not doing the same for Video Studio X3 ?
What's special with this SW compared to PSP X3 ?
I asked Corel last friday... let's see what's going on...

I have bought the MF7plus last year. Now you are saying that if I download the SE version this would be detrimental to me. If this SE version is going to be activated withing VSX3 how will it affect the MF7 plus?

At least we now know that at least one person has received the link.
Was this via the "Get more/do more" system or have Corel sent you an email or something?

Both Ken and myself have already asked Corel if we can post a download link to the "fix" the initial response to Ken was that they didn't want anyone who does not have VSX3 downloading the software. I have now sent in my own email pointing out that during Beta Testing I have already confirmed that it will NOT install on a computer that does not already have VSX3 installed.

I downloaded the link provided by John to confirm what would occur if I tried to install the SE version on my computer that already has the full version of DMF7 installed. You get the following message.
