Menu templates in DVD moviefactory pro 7

Post by mroy »

I had downloaded the trial version of DVD Moviefactory 6 and liked the interface, menu templates provided with it. However, since I could not import AVCHD lite videos directly into the program, I got the pro 7 version.

However, I was shocked to see limited menu templates in version 7 only 9 altogether.

Is there any way to import or download other templates?

You should have over 60 menu's. There is a content file as well as a bonus S/W file that you should be able to download. These files are part of the purchase you made when you bought MF 7 Pro.
The extra content file is...
"dmf_pro7_e_contentpack.exe"
It is approx 270Mb!

I have the 3 CD version pack (not the downloaded version) and there does not seem to be any file called dmf_pro7_e_contentpack.exe

Can it be downloaded separately?

dmf_pro7_e_contentpack.exe is a zipped up (compressed) file that is supplied with the downloaded version.
On one of your 3 disks you will find these extra content files, it is simply a case of placing the disc(s) into your computers disc drive and looking.
The name should be fairly obvious but it will NOT be dmf_pro7_e_contentpack.exe

Thanks! I still could not find anything that looked like extra content pack.

However, when I went to the directory where the contents are installed, I see that there are about 20-30 .ini files listed there. However, the menu templates that show up in the program have .ufo files in addition to the .ini files.

What am I doing wrong? Out of the 3 CDs, the 2nd one containes WinDVD Silver and DVDCopy Standard, and the 3rd contains Direct Disc Recorder

I belive that this subject has been disussed elsewhere in this forum and the solution has been contacting the authors, quoting the serial, for a download site where you can download the extra contents.

Is there anybody here who might post a link to download this popular file called "dmf_pro7_e_contentpack.exe"
I am also with the same problem but maybe wurst, cause I only see two menu for HD section. I do all for HD blue-ray. It's really a shame to sell such a good program with just a few menu's and don't even tell clients where to download more. So , please those who do have more then 60 menus, post a link for us.

Sorry but the download links provided by Corel are "Time limited" and only last 2-4 weeks. When I ran some competitions last year I was given 4 download links for MovieFactory 7 to distribute to the prize winners.
Unless things have changed then the file names were:

dmf_pro7_e_esd1.exe
dmf_pro7_e_esd2.exe
dmf_pro7_e_contentpack.exe
dmf_pro7_e_bonuscd.exe

They may have altered this to one cumulative download link, I don't know.
Perhaps if someone has recently purchased MF7 they can confirm the number of download files and their file names.

Or if you have the files,
Take the file from:
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1578917/dmf_pro ... ntpack.exe
and please let me know when you collected this 270MB file. Then I can remove it from DropBox. Hope it solves your problem, regards W.K.

Thank you very much"Wim Kok" for your help.
Your name sound Dutch to me or maybe I am mistaken.
After installing this files my program launcher does not work anymore.
I had to repair the program itself and try again.
It opens fine but as soon as start the menu editing it does not work anymore.
This is very strange ,cause that means that Corel is producing two different program with the same name. What is going on with Corel. Is there a lack of communication between the programmers ? It looks like

If you are Dutch then: Hartelijk bedankt.

I fixed this problem.
After a complete uninstall of all I reboot and install the program again.
It ask me to reboot but I didn't. Instead I install your big file and then reboot.
Everything works fine now and I have about 17 different menu's for Blue-ray instead of only two.

Thank you again and have a nice day.

Mmmm, bad news again. this program really has a BUG.
Sometimes it let me get the next button to the menu's and sometimes it just go all the way back to start from scratch.
That is really nasty after preparing your files to burn and the last two steps it shuts down to start from scratch.

Have been changing some things here but it just stay the same.
I need luck to get a click to the next button to see the menu's before burning.

Strange thin happen two days ago also when I had only two blueraymenu's and after a burn I put the DVD to watch my video on HD TV and for my surprise I dont see any graphics in the menu. I only saw two square blocks cause it was made with two different video,"so I had to choose which video to watch. The next time I tried again and this time the graphics was there.
So I decide to do this several times but no luck any more until today

You are right, it¡¦s ¡§very Dutch¡¨ but I have not been in politics! The best thing to do is to involve a Corel Help desk which I did when my DMF 6 Plus was in trouble. The assistance I got from Corel Canada was just perfect and customer friendly. You can even upload videoclips from which the bug can be understood. I bought DMF 7 Pro for another reason and that program runs very fine indeed, however I don¡¦t work with Blu-ray.

Veel succes met de oplossing van dit rotprobleem, regards W.K.
