Can you use Imageskill Background Remover from X2 with X3?

Post by Hooterville »

I uninstalled X2 and I still see the Imageskill 3 background remover in my programs and was wondering if this plugin would work with X3?

How do I install it on X3?

Thanks..

Go to File > Preferences > File Locations and in the Plug-ins section, add an entry to the folder that contains "BackgroundRemover3.8bf".
In the long term the easiest way is to create a folder and place all of your plugins into it. Any program that uses plugins can be pointed there rather than having to add multiple locations.

Thanks, Tim
I can't find where that file is at.
I saw the imageskill remover when I was in add remove programs.
Any idea where I can find that program?

Got it. I just re-installed it again from the X2 disc.

Being this program has an installer I was wondering if it would work if I just put the "BackgroundRemover3.8bf" file into my plugins folder?

Or maybe it has to use it's installer?

What ya think?

You should be able to just add it to your Plugins folder.
I did, works fine

If you need to find it I believe it is located in X2s --langauges, En--Plugins
in the program folder

CorelX3 set up a folder during installation with a bunch of "start up" folders to save your stuff in.

So, create a plugins folder if it is not already there to keep away from the main Corel folder ... as mentioned in other posts here, in case of a Corel problem / reinstall, these files will be ok.
