During editing I sometimes get asked if I could protect the identity and privacy of the person in the video.
To do this I usually add FX to make the face appear so out of focus that the only identity marker is the person's voice.
So I split the audio from the video and the use the audio filter to add a pitch shift to disguise the person¡¦s voice.
When I play back the project, the end result is that the subject person cannot be identified.
I can do this in Pro X2 but not in Pro X3.
In Pro X3, the audio clip will play with the pitch shift added but when you play back the project the pitch shift is missing and the person¡¦s voice returns to normal.
I tried adding reverb and got the same results.
Could someone give it a go and let me know what they found?
Thanks
Paul

Thanks Steve,
I did go as far as rendering because I was not hearing the pitch shift when I playback the timeline to check the end result.
Something I always do to make sure the finished project is complete and is what I want before rendering.
Were you able to hear the pitch shift when you playback the project before rendering?
Thanks
Paul
