VS Pro X2 & 3

Post by Hugh Rossiter »

Hello I'm Hugh and I wrote this message before and then selected a topic and it disappeared so I don't know if it's been submitted.
I am a frustrated Pro X2 user because the programme runs very slow using MTS files from my HDD Canon camcorder and keeps coming up with "prog not responding" very frequently. Corel have not been any help when their help line was available. My computer is a Del Inspiron 530 has a 2.66gHz processor intel 4 all the good specs.
I had hoped that ProX3 would be a great improvement and it has been to some extent but then it's thrown up other problems. The DVD factory cannot cope with videos exceeding 4.7 GB but Pro X2 happily compressed the final video to fit onto one DVD providing it didn't exceed 120 minutes.
Using "Pro" in the name of the programme implies it's a professional package but as I am producing long videos and not just family clips, I expect the programme to reflect it's name.
I'm now going over to Apple and Final Cut Express.

Have you viewed the threads regarding the known problems with the authoring part of VS x3 and the fact that Corel are addressing this problem and working on a solution?
