dvd label not working in visual studio 12

Post by weiqingh »

hi there,

when i use "share->create dvd" and at the last step "disc burner" i usually specify a label for the dvd. this used to work with an older version of visual studio. with version 12, it takes the label but the final dvd doesn't have a label. if i generate an iso image file and use any iso tools to view the file, there is no label for the dvd either. could someone help me out?

Thanks.

Can't you insert a label with the 'iso tools' you are using. I am pretty sure you can with both PowerISO and WinISO...

thanks for the advice. that would work. it would be nice if videostudio would correctly do it for me.

Yes, I suppose it would, though I am not sure why it is not doing so.

Spurred by your query, I have just been checking through the few discs I burned using VS12 (and by the way, it's *video* studio, not visual studio, which is a Microsoft program with quite a different purpose).

I mostly used VS12 to burn hybrid AVCHD discs on standard DVDs. But all of them appear to have the title correctly inserted when I check in My Computer/Windows Explorer. So I am not sure why yours is not doing the same...

Hi weiqingh

Have you manually updated Direct X

There is a link at the top of this forum.
The update is a three part process, download, extract files, install files.

The manual update has cured problems with X2 similar to the Label option not being available.
Its worth the effort¡K¡K¡K¡K¡K¡K..

But what Operating System are you using?
