A spreadsheet as general help ?

Post by radeon »

Hello.

Here is a small idea to help others, and I do not think it has been done yet.
(of course, as I am a new Corel user, and as I'm new here, I have not red all your messages)

Could we write and stick a message showing a spreadsheet.
This spreadsheet would give informations about ...

File input I_Blueray_I_DVD_I_SVCD_I_Youtube_I_Flas_I Comments on VSSettings I
AVI HD___ I_X______I X____I X____ I X_______I X___I
AVI720x576________I_X ___I X_____ IX________I X I
AVI Low resI I I I X IX
...
...
etc

With details giving informations such as resolution, properties, and a lot more.

If you think about it, it is not so easy to present it so that it is really clear.
But it could be helpfull for pro or newbies.

How could we post it ?
a picture of the sreadsheet
an attached file
just plain text with |------------|------------------|
another way...

Why spending time writing such a file?
Because there is indeed so many information here, and nothing to summarize this.
I know the search function gives good results with details, but this spreadsheet could be another kind of help.

I know how PHPBB (the engine of this forum) works (mainly using a database and requests through it.)
And it could be easy to add a new champ, define important keywords, sort them alphabetically, and end this spreadsheet with a kind of result.

Then everyone could read a summary of summaries.
This is the main idea, and of course, it has to be defined more accurately.

If you think this can be possible, and interesting, well, I could help you doing it.

Regards.

Ps I have to find something to correct automatically my english sentences, because I could correct many errors.

Do you mean....
What bit rate settings should I use?

It could do with updating to include High Definition formats, but I only use Standard Definition. If someone would like to suggest some extra entries for the list I can edit the existing thread.

Yes, bit rate and much more information: the Video Studio Swiss knife: let me call it The VS knife as a suggestion.

In fact, everything that has been written here that can help others.
A kind of quick overview, but as precise as possible, it's content can be defined.

This is only a suggestion, this could need many hours to get an interesting file.
