Hi Guys,
Just wondering if anyone has had any issues in regards to downloading the newer style HD format files from the Go Pro Helmet Camera.
I'd used the old type with no issues but the new file format of MP4 H.264 seems to be more difficult to work with.
I've purchased VS Pro 3 with the veiw that it would be able to edit and make some short movies but it seem the only way to do it is to convert the files to either WMV or AVI files then proceed.
This is a bummer on 2 counts, one I lose calibre of footage it's nowhere near as detailed in those formats and secondly I didn't need to buy the program in order to edit footage I could edit in Movie Maker before.
I've been in touch with the help centre and they suggested saving the file to the hard drive then renaming the file to MOV, that didn't work either so I'm in your hands if you have any other ideas..I was really looking forward to getting some great movies made up with the X3 program but it may not be what I'd hoped.
Thanks in advance
Corey

Hi Corey and welcome to the Forum.
Have you "transferred" the video files from the camera to the PC? If so how did you do this, via USB cable or what? If you have a video file on you PC what file extension has it?
