Hi Bill
I think a clean install is on the cards¡K¡K¡K¡K.
Your VSP¡¦s should/will open in the newly installed Video Studio.
Older versions will not open in newer version VSP's.
Unless you save the VSP¡¦s for the older versions, X2 can save for VS10, not sure about the X3 backward compatibility. (from the Save As window choose the Save As Type) (if all that makes sense)
Do a search of the Corels Knowledge Base for clean install.
Just don¡¦t delete the VSP¡¦s or your video/images.
If you cannot find the details, start a new post regarding clean install, I am sure someone will give help.
Before you start make sure you have all the serial numbers/purchase keys for the new installations.
Good luck
Holiday
A cruise heading North into the cold, Norway and towards the Arctic Circle, hopefully to see the Northern Lights ( aurora borealis)
Hopefully will get some good video¡K¡K¡K¡K¡K¡K..
Pan and Zoom problem - goes crazy if I make changes.

Just a quick correction of what was fairly obviously a typo by Trevor (namely, using the word 'in'): Older versions of VS cannot open VSP project files created in more recent versions i.e. a project created in X3 or X2 cannot be opened in VS11.5+.Older versions will not open in newer version VSP's.
(This also needs to be qualified by the fact that you can save a project file in the project format of up to two versions. For instance, in X3 you can go to File > Save As. Then, in the new dialogue box which appears, click on the downward arrow to the right of 'Save as Type' and you will be able to save the project as either an X2 or VS 11 project. Similarly, in X2, you can Save As a VS11 or VS10 project and so on down the line.)
But X3 can open X2, VS 11, VS 10 and so on VSPs with no further ado.
