Printing large image

Post by bevbaau »

I have an image enlarged to approx. 21" x 21" that I would like to print to size - as a series of 'tiles'? Is this possible in PSP? I realise the quality will not be great but want it as a 'pattern' to trace for a textile art piece so I can deal with the quality issues at that point. At the moment, I just want the size, and scale, correct.

Any advice would be appreciated.

I am using Paint Shop Pro Photo X2 ver. 12.01 and either a Canon inkjet or a Fuji Xerox laser printer.

If PSP can't print as a series of tiles then you can do it the long way by resaving as a different name to keep the whole picture, manually cropping this picture into it's "tile" sections and printing each one individually.

It's definately possible. Tedious but possible.

Don't suppose there's an image slicing script is there? If there was you could simply decide the cut sizes and it would make the individual images for you and you could print them off one at a time from there.

Then again...some printer drivers actually have a set-up where you can define something like a poster. You tell it how many sheets you'll need to print the image on and it'll do the necessary separations for you. I don't know if the printer you listed has that but it might be worth checking out.

In most cases you'll find it in your printer options under something like "Multi-page" or "Poster".
Otherwise there are programs that can convert your image. Several freeware versions are shown at

Thank you all - the printer WAS able to do it! Who knew? I should read all my manuals again to see what else I have 'forgetten'! I have a Canon IP3000 and now have my (nine) separate images stuck together for my pattern.
