Photostory versus Videostudio Pro X3

Using Windows 7 Home Premium -- Photostory is no longer available. Updating to Windows Professional will allow integration but costs about $US100.

VideoStudio emulates similar results using the Customized Pan and Zoom. For quasi identical zooms Corel creates files about 10 times larger and visually the effect is less satisfactory despite higher resolution.
Example: Frame Width Height Date rate
Photostory 1024 768 595 kbps
Corel 1440 1080 5908 kbps

Suggestion sought on how to obtain better results with Video Studio when producing video files using high quality digital photos.
Regret not being able to attach 7 second samples of each.

I have Microsofts Photostory actuall the XP version running pn Windows 7 Home Premium with no issues. Can you not install it or will it just not work properly.

Was not able to install Photostory on my computer using Windows 7. Also reported by others and succeeded by some according to a Windows User blog. Windows Live Movie Maker will allow panning and zooming but is less efficient than the XP version of Photostory.
Having purchased Videostudio I had hoped to find a better solution than available from freeware.

X3 will do the job and a lot more options...
