Add Music in DVD Factory 2010
Thanks to all the great and timely responses, they have given me all I asked for and I'm sure I can learn what I need to know. I now have managed to do everything except burn a DVD with my soundtrack. The DVD Factory finds my video file automaticaly but refuses to pickup the soundtrack. When I press the Add Music feature it won't navigate to the audio file I created. I must be missing something fundamental, it shouldn't be this hard, should it?

Briefly...... you are not alone and last time I tried I gave up!
There are numerous issues with the new authoring module that ships with VSX3 but Corel are aware and a solution is being worked on.
In the meantime if you have any other authoring software such as an earlier version of VideoStudio or if you have MovieFactory then I would be inclined to do my editing in the new more powerful VideoStudio X3 and then go to the [Share] tab. From here I would select create video.
Once the new video has been created I would then use one of my other authoring programs to complete the job.

Re: Add Music in DVD Factory 2010
This is indeed frustrating. I was working on a project for a friend and the software recognized my music file only 2 out of the 20 times that I tried to add a music file to any menu within the video project. I didn't think it had anything to do with the fact it was a WAV file, because it did not seem to pick up my MP3 files either.
Then my friend asked me to try to convert to MP3 just to see what happened. Randomly enough, it found the file and I was able to add. Then... the program crashed on me (I did not save)....... and I had to redo the menu ... again. However, It picked up the MP3 file a second time.
So, my advice (one month old so you may have found an answer already) is to convert your music file to MP3 and see if that works.

The "solution" was in fact released a few weeks ago.
New authoring module for X3
