I will be shortly starting on a new project of transferring my old wedding video off VHS tape into a digital format. As a precusor I'm was wondering if there is any information/tutorials on what the various denoise / deblock and all the other 'de' type filters do (all those filters geared towards addressing video transferred off VHS tape), when to use them and what they are intended to fix.
I've already tried to do searches on each but the information was thin.
